Sunscreen: Stay Safe in the Sun Why do we use sunscreen?

sunscreen

The sun’s rays hit the earth 365 days per year. Even on a cold winter day or a cloudy one in the spring, your skin is being hit by these damaging rays. When they hit the skin, they can cause conditions such as moles, freckles, wrinkles, leathery skin or even skin cancer. Your eyes and lips can also be damaged from being exposed to the sun.3

Sunscreens are products that protect the skin from the harmful UV radiation from the sun.1 When applied, they either absorb or deflect the sun’s damaging rays.2 When we wear sunscreen, it offers some protection from the damage that can be caused by the sun.1
