When should I see a doctor?2

  • If you are less than 12 years old
  • If you have diabetes or a weakened immune system
  • If the affected area is very painful, inflamed or oozing
  • If your toenails are infected
  • If no improvement is seen within 1 week of treatment
  • If you get frequent recurrences of athlete’s foot
  • If there are signs of an infection (e.g. fever, swelling, redness, pus)
